Pending Google post

Hexia.local

A post may show an unexpected status or no statistics. First check its scheduled date and whether it appears on the relevant Google profile.

Check the post

  1. Open Google Posts and find the message in the list.
  2. Check its type, selected POS and scheduled publication date.
  3. Record the exact status and any associated message.
  4. Visit the relevant POS Google profile to check whether the post is visible.

A pending status alone does not establish that a message is already published or that it has failed. If several POS are involved, check the reported locations individually.

Distinguish profile metrics from post metrics

Views of a Google profile and actions taken from that profile are not necessarily metrics for an individual post. Do not conclude that nobody read the post simply because a statistics field is empty.

For profile metrics, consult the Performance dashboard in the Hexia.local guides.

Prepare a support request

Provide the project, affected POS, post type, creation and scheduled publication dates, exact status, a screenshot and the Google profile link. State whether the message is visible there. This helps support investigate without assuming a cause.

Avoid recreating the same message until its state is confirmed, to reduce the risk of duplicates.

Why can a post remain pending?

The FAQ describes a case where a Google update prevented the Hexia status from updating even though the post was visible on Google. Check the actual profile before creating the post again; this does not mean all statuses are frozen.

Why are post views missing?

Since 2023, Google no longer supplies view statistics for individual Google Posts. The available statistics concern the overall Business Profile rather than each post.
